New Member? Here’s How to Get Started
First of all, welcome! We’re so thrilled you have decided to work on your voice with us!
Here is a little list of things you can do as you explore the membership. This is not set in stone. Feel free to explore all the resources as you like.
Introduce yourself in the Chatterbox forum.
Try the course How to Warm Up Without a Piano, or do warm up exercises from the Exercise Toolbox.
Record a diagnostic scale and a song you like to sing and upload it via the Exercise Toolbox (you’ll find all instructions you need there).
Check out Confidence Corner and listen to others from our community (make sure to leave positive, encouraging comments!).
Try one of our other courses, such as Introduction to Straw Phonation or How to Take Care of Your Voice.
Feedback = Progress
The most important feature of this membership is the opportunity to send in your singing for feedback twice per month.
As soon as you have received your first video response from us, you will gain new insights about your voice, what it needs and how you can train it.
Some members feel uncomfortable at first, because they are critical of their voice. But don’t let that feeling stop you from sending in your recordings! The vocal coaches at the Singable Toolbox are professionals who have listened to and analysed hundreds of voices, and if something isn’t working optimally, we give you solutions, not judgment. In fact, the more you know about how the voice works, the less critical you become of other people’s voices, as well as your own.
Still unsure about recording yourself? Check out the blog post What to Do if You Hate Your Voice.
